Mulan

I woke up in a daze and what looked like a military base. I was confused until everything came back to me...hard. I suddenly remember a soldier coming to my house delivering a message saying that my dad was killed in battle. I was devastated. I'm not the type to exact revenge on people, but this time it was different. My whole village was annihilated. Everybody was killed including the babies. The Huns said that only the strong could survive. That's when all the men decided to go back into the military. As for the women who did survive. They were all taken and either hung, beaten, or raped. It was about to be my turn when I got the news of his death. I made a very risky decision and decided to join to get revenge for my family and village. I snuck out and grabbed my dad's old uniform and cut my hair with his sword. I got on my favorite horse and rode to the recruit center. I got in instantly and now here I am.

I got dressed and put my hair up in time for roll call. There were three other guys who somehow became my friends. Their names were Francis, Toni, and Gil and they referred themselves as the Bad Touch Trio. It was really fitting because they killed the most men from the opposing side. They helped me advance my skill, but it was nothing like like our General Yao Wang.

General Wang was ruthless and wasn't afraid to cut you down to size and show who's in charge if you defied him. He will train us well into the early hours of the morning, you have to sleep for only four hours, and somewhere in those four hours you had to find time to eat. It was harsh, but it was for the best. He really cared about his troops and didn't want to see anymore more of his men die. 

A month later we went into our first battle. I was scared seeing my fellow soldiers die, but I had to keep fighting. I took out about 50 men, but then I saw one aiming a gun at Yao. I knew it would be bad if the general died so I took the bullet for him. I was immediately unconscious when I did. I woke up later in the base and Yao was right next to me looking at me with disgust. I look to see my shirt off and bandages wrapped my breasts. My worst fear happened. Yao found out that I was a girl. He didn't kill me, but he did kick me out of the military.

I went back home as a girl, but I knew that the leader of the Huns would be coming for Yao's father the emperor. Nobody would listen to me since women didn't have that much power back then. So I snuck into the palace only to find the Bad Touch Trio there who followed me after I was kicked out. They took out all of the subordinates while I went after the leader on the rooftop. After about 20 minutes I had him cornered and stabbed him with my dad's sword.

After I got off the roof the emperor gave me a gold necklace to award me for killing the leader and ending the war. Then Yao came up to me and started apologizing, but I cut him off with a kiss. That's all that I remember before I blacked out.

"Suǒyǐ, wǒ dì měilì shì qīngxǐng de." (So my beautiful is awake.) I heard someone say next to me. I looked to the side to see my husband Yao propped up one elbow looking at me. I smiled at him and started to tell him about my dream.

"See it was weird wasn't it," I said after telling him the story.
"No actually that's how we met," he said with a soft smile.
"Huh?," was the only thing I could ask. Yao then went to the closet and pulled out two military uniforms. One had my name with lieutenant before it and the other had Yao's name with general before it.
"I remember now," I said before hugging him.
"Oh, And another thing," he said after we pulled apart.
"What?," I asked.
"You were watching Mulan with the kids last night," he said with a smirk.
"That's why I dreamed of being Mulan," I said with sudden realization.
"Yup," Yao replied while hugging me from behind.

Then suddenly twins, a boy and a girl, ran into our room. They were five years old. The boy had long (h/c) hair in a low pony tail and amber eyes just like his father. The girl had short dark brown hair with (e/c) eyes just like me. We agreed to give the girl a Chinese name and the boy a (nationality) name. We pulled apart and I picked up (b/n) while Yao picked up Mei.

"Mā mī, Mā mī," (Mommy, Mommy) (b/n) said to me.
"What is it?," I asked.
"Your movie is on. Can we watch it?" he asked with a cute little smile.
"And what movie is it?," I asked with a soft smile.
"Mulan of course," he said while giggling.
"Sure," I answered.
"Daddy are you going to watch it with us?," Mei asked Yao.
"Of course," he said while taking my hand and leading me to the Family Room to watch our movie.
