What is New Years? (Papa! Spain x Mama! Reader)

I went to the kitchen to pour two glasses of wine and grape juice for little (g/n). I came back out and saw Toni playing (g/n).

"Mama what's New Years," her little five year old self asked me.
"Yeah mama what's New Years?," Toni asked teasingly.
"I don't know why don't you ask papa?," I suggest with a smirk.
"Okay. Papa what's New Years?," she asked him with a smile.
He glared at me before answering, "It's when you celebrate the beginning of the new year."
"Why?," she asked.
"Because the old one ended and the new one is starting," he explained.
"I get it. It's like what mama says, 'Out with the old and in with the new' right?," she exclaimed.
"Right," I stated while placing her in my lap while I was sitting in Toni's lap.

We counted down the last few seconds before the New Year.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR," (g/n) shouted.

We each kissed one of her cheeks while she giggled. Then Toni covered her eyes and gave me a passionate kiss.

"Te amo," he stated.
"También te amo," I replied in Spanish knowing that (Name) doesn't understand it yet.

"What did you guys say," she asked removing her father's hand from her eyes.
"That we love you," Toni answered while we each kissed one of her cheeks again.
